Introducing Calm Harbor Psychotherapy

Helping you navigate the storms of life

You are competent, capable, and relied upon by others, yet internally, something feels heavy, complicated, or unsustainable.

Many of my clients are highly responsible, caring, and successful people who have spent years taking care of others while quietly carrying the effects of childhood wounds, attachment injuries, betrayal, loss, or complex trauma.

They are often experiencing:

• Emotional exhaustion or burnout despite outward success

• Relationship patterns shaped by attachment wounds, betrayal, or past trauma

• Persistent anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, or people-pleasing

• Grief or losses that continue to impact daily life

• A sense that they understand their struggles intellectually, but have not experienced deeper healing

My clients are not looking for quick fixes or surface-level symptom management. They are seeking meaningful, lasting change.

They want to understand themselves with compassion, heal the parts of themselves that learned to survive, and experience greater freedom, connection, and peace.

If you value depth, are motivated for personal growth, and are willing to invest in your emotional well-being, our work together may be a good fit.

Calm Harbor Psychotherapy offers:

  • Discreet care

  • Confidential, private-pay practice

  • Personalized treatment

  • Selective caseload

  • Thoughtful, individualized counseling

My approach

I specialize in the integration of IFS and EMDR, two evidence-based approaches that work together to address not only symptoms, but the underlying experiences that shaped them.

Together, these approaches help clients move beyond simply coping or “managing symptoms” and towards genuine healing.

Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" we explore, "What happened to you?" and "How did your mind and body learn to protect you?"

Therapy becomes a collaborative process of understanding and healing the wounded and protective parts of yourself with compassion, curiosity, and respect.

My approach is particularly helpful for individuals navigating:

• Attachment wounds and childhood emotional neglect

• Betrayal trauma and relational injuries

• Anxiety, over-functioning, and burnout

• Complex grief and significant life transitions

• Patterns of self-criticism, perfectionism, and people-pleasing

• The lingering effects of traumatic experiences

Healing is possible. You do not have to continue surviving in ways that no longer serve you.
